The Synthi
The EMS Synthi AKS (1972) was a portable modular synthesizer in a briefcase. Its 16×16 pin matrix let you patch anything to anything with three colored pins: white (normal), red (precision), green (attenuated). Used by Pink Floyd on Dark Side of the Moon (“On the Run”), Brian Eno, and countless others.
